I’d like to introduce you to DRMCTHR, an alt-pop from Baltimore Maryland.
I discovered DRMCTHR back in 2015, and since then I’ve followed their progress on the soon to be released album, Hold Your Love. From what I can gather, it’s been a turbulent road for the four-piece since their formation and release of the debut EP, Wonderlust in 2013, including member changes and at one point the near end of the band.
But sometimes, chaos and dissension are what leads an artist to create something that overcomes the tough times and has the ability to move a listener.
And that something is exactly what DRMCTHR creates in their second single off the forthcoming album.
If I could, I would steal your darkness
But, I can’t so please just let the light in
Chelsea Tyler’s eerie vocals echo cut through a ferocious wave of guitars and pounding drums as she tells the story of the person she wanted to be, talking to the person she was at the time on “Blacked Out.”
Hold Your Love is set for release on November 17, 2017, through Darkshore Music Group and is available for pre-order now.
